Presse Release town of Mount-Royal
A new park will be created in the Town’s Bates/Ekers sector this summer. Back in 2017, Mount Royal established a land reserve on the property at 160 Bates Road in anticipation of expropriating it for transformation into a green space. The building on the land is to be demolished in the coming weeks. The site preparation work and landscaping of the new space will be carried out by the Town. Creating the small park is an important and eagerly awaited step in the greening of the neighbourhood, one of several initiatives in that direction.
Developing a vision for the new park and choosing its name was the main project of the 2018-2019 cohort of the Townschool Council. The young councillors decided that the future green space will be known as Royal Garden Park.
